Hard Times Cafe
Good beer bars where you can bring the kids are hard to find, but one of the best is Hard Times Café. You'll find us at the Bethesda branch, but Tuppers' Hop Pocket Ale is on tap at many if not most of the several locations. Several versions of good honest chili are reason enough to go there, but ribs, steaks, salmon, and wings are also good values. A handful of nicely selected draft choices and some bottles are there if you need a break from the Tuppers'. Periodic beer tasting events offer special prices on food as well as samples of beers not usually available. Free food if you sign up for their emails.
